Serendipity

E-waste recycling project — “Serendipity”

E-waste has been a deteriorating issue in the world. It causes tremendous harm to the natural environment, propelling us to propose this project. The main theme of our project is e-waste reduction by recycling. We believe that e-waste has the potential to become useful products again. “Serendipity” is a green business that aims at reducing e-waste by recycling, while making profit simultaneously.

Our profiting principle is, by extraction from e-waste(typically phones and laptops), we can obtain valuable pure metals, which can be used to generate profit.

The ultimate blueprint of “Serendipity” includes a high-tech collection bin and a well-functioning app “Serend”. Details of it will be mentioned in the presentation.

In fact, the market of e-waste recycling has enormous potential, which can be unleashed by our project. We believe that “Serendipity” can outperform from transitional industry, with our innovation in polishing the business model.

The name of our app “Serend” originates from the word Serendipity and our core values, as we wish that this app can serve as a tiny gift to nature.
