Finalist Team – 綠綠無窮

The Problem: Every day, the city throws away 90 tonnes of styrofoam and 3,001 tonnes of food waste, including many fruit peels. Polystyrene fills up landfills and never breaks down, while food waste creates bad smells and harmful gases. Also, normal adhesives in the market contain toxic chemicals （VOCs）that are bad for students' health.

Our Solution: We turn waste into a useful product. We use a natural chemical called "Limonene," which we extract from orange peels. This natural liquid can melt polystyrene safely and quickly. By mixing them, we create a strong, eco-friendly, and non-toxic glue with a fresh orange smell.

Business Plan: Our products have advantages in five aspects: environmental protection, non-toxicity, odor, cost, and adhesion. Furthermore, our cost is low (only HK$6.5 per 100mL bottle). Our gross profit margin is 67.3%. In three years, we aim to sell 30,000 bottles a year and capture 0.6% of Hong Kong's environmentally friendly adhesive market.

Social Impact: If we sell 50,000 bottles in three years, we will save 2 tonnes of orange peels and recycle 15,600 polystyrene lunch boxes. We are not just selling glue; we are protecting our environment and people's health.
