Over the evolution of generations and the rapid economic development of the city, the deterioration of traditional merits have become more severe, while small and medium-sized enterprises have been facing numerous challenges from multinational corporations.

Besides, lack of communication and distant relationships have become more ubiquitous due to technological developments, hence people are more likely to use money to replace heartfelt gifts. Furthermore, people struggle while choosing presents for their beloved ones. Despite being close with the recipient, they are worried that the present might not be suitable or liked.

Gifty is a mobile phone app aimed to provide support to sunset industries and small and medium-sized enterprises, and enable people to struggle less while choosing gifts concurrently. Our app contains two main sections: gift generation and gift purchase.

Users can input information about the recipient to generate a suggested gift, including gender, age, habits, hobbies, MBTI etc, which will then be analyzed using AI technology to generate a gift suggestion. We will collaborate with traditional shops and SMEs, and our gift generations will be based on products from these stores. Users can then directly purchase the gift from our online shopping platform. Products will be delivered to customers within 3 working days after their purchase.

Our app will target Hong Kong consumers aged 15-50, taking into consideration their purchasing power and familiarity to online platforms. It will be launched on the App Store (Apple) / Google Play (Android), and we will also promote the app in the physical stores of our collaborating shops.

We will launch promotion mainly through social media e.g. KOL promotion, Instagram advertisement etc. We will also invite our collaborating shops to film self-promotional videos and post them in our social media accounts, enabling these shops and industries to gain public exposure.
