Finalist Team – CenNano
CenNano is developing PyraSMIP, a single-molecule detection platform based on its proprietary sub-nanometer silicon nanopore technology. The platform enables rapid, low-cost, and label-free detection of samples such as proteins, DNA, and peptides. Compared with mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and ELISA, PyraSMIP reduces equipment costs and operational complexity, while enabling one-minute sample loading and quantitative results within five minutes. The team has completed key validations, including nanopore fabrication and peptide sequencing, and is supported by a working prototype, intellectual property, strategic partners, and funding resources. CenNano’s target markets include molecular diagnostics, gene sequencing, and protein testing, representing a total addressable market of over USD 80 billion.
