Hong Kong's emergency departments are facing the problem of excessively long waiting times, mainly due to over 60% of patients presenting with mild conditions. To address this, the M"Path" and R"Doctor" medical assistants have been introduced:

M"Path" primarily functions as an online triage system, using intelligent triage algorithms and vital sign data to assess patients' conditions. Those with mild symptoms are recommended to R"Doctor" for offline diagnosis.

R "Doctor" is equipped with cameras, electronic stethoscopes and tactile sensors. By combining big data analysis, it provides precise treatment plans and refers non-mild cases to doctors. Safeguard measures include nurse-assisted monitoring and regular doctor audits to reduce misjudgments, as well as outreach services to help elderly patients adapt to high-tech solutions.

The societal value of this product lies in shortening the waiting time in the emergency departments, optimizing resource allocation, and improving the efficiency of critical care treatment. In the long term, it can reduce the labor cost of the emergency departments and help relieve the burden on medical staff and enhance the public's acceptance of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Improving the medical system is the cornerstone of social development. Although reform takes time, in the long term, it can definitely reduce the pressure on medical operations.
